My Writing Life: An Update

This week I’ve just got an overall update for you all as I am currently away on holiday with the family (including 5 children under 5 years old!) so I don’t have the greatest amount of time to write!

This is my view as I am typing. Excuse the mess, as I said, five children!

So, onto the update. The headline is that I have started up a YouTube channel! I announced it about a week ago in this blog post. I’ve decided to do this to challenge myself and to improve my self confidence. So far it is rather nerve-racking talking to a camera but I am enjoying it all the same. I’m currently planning on uploading a new video every Friday on a variety of topics. If there are any in particular you would like to see then please let me know!

For about half an hour last week I thought I finally had my TBR pile organised, I thought I knew what I was reading and in what order. I was going to blast through my pile and I was going to start rebuilding it with new purchases later this year. Then I get an email come through, telling me that I was being sent a book to review on the 13th August. I had completely forgotten I had signed up to this blog tour over a month ago. So now I have to reorganise my TBR pile to fit this rather long book in, not that I’m complaining as I love the premise of the book!

Finally an update on my current writing projects. My book The Revelation Academy, is still progressing. I’m currently working through edits, although it did hit a bit of a stumbling block when I badly sprained my wrist a couple weeks ago, but I am back on track now and fully healed.

I’ve also been toying with the idea of writing a script, it’s something I’ve dismissed in the past but recently I’ve become more interested in the format. I’m not sure on any kind of storyline at the moment but I want to give the format a go. Again, if you have any ideas please send them my way, the same with advice if you have ever written a script before.

Before I go I thought I would share with you a picture of the scenery from our holiday rental. It’s inspired a short story already so I’m hoping it will inspire you with your writing!
