March Book Haul

So it looks like a post that I only planned to do once in January is becoming a bit of a habit. I just can’t stop buying books and to be honest with you I don’t want to stop. Books are awesome. So here are the books I have collected this month! (FYI this post contains affiliate links).

The Extinction Trials by S.M. Wilson

I bought this one on Book Depositry, which is an awesome website by the way. This recently published book is the selection for a book club I am part of and I can’t wait to read it. It is listed as being The Hunger Games meets Jurassic Park. Now that sounds interesting right? I’m taking this book on holiday with me and I hope to power through it before I get home.

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

If you haven’t heard about this book in the past week or two where have you been living?? This brilliant book is the debut fantasy novel of Tomi Adeyemi, which follows a young girl, Zelie, as she attempts to return magic to her people. I am currently about a third of the way through this amazing book and I hope to finish it before I head off on holiday (I’m writing this on Monday FYI). This book shot to the top of the New York Times Bestselling list on the day of release and the film right have already been bought by Fox 2000/Temple Hill Productions. You can probably already tell how my review is going to read can’t you?

Anna Undreaming by Thomas Welsh

Yes I know I have mentioned this book in previous posts, but my hardback copy arrived this month after it’s release on the 20th March so it counts as part of my haul this month! You can read my review here!

Me Before You by JoJo Moyes

This probably stand outs considering my normal reading material, but I saw it in Asda one day and I fancied something a bit different! I haven’t read it yet as I am waiting for the mood to strike!

Love, Simon by Becky Albertalli

Also known as Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda this book has recently taken social media by storm. With the film already released in America and about to be released here in the UK I admit I have been swept up in the excitement. I have seen images and lines from the film all over facebook and twitter recently but I finally saw the trailer in the cinema yesterday before Black Panther, and can I just tell you that I think it is brilliant. I plan to read this book before the end of April so keep a look out for my review.

So there you have it, my book haul for March. Can you believe we are already a quarter of the way through 2018? I wonder what I will buy in April!
